    How to rotate a PDF

    1. Base camp

      Drop your PDF into the box above, or click Choose files. You can add several PDFs at once.

    2. Camp 1

      Choose the direction, and whether to rotate All pages or Only some pages, such as 2, 5-7.

    3. Summit

      Click Download to save the rotated PDF.

    Every PDF page has a rotation setting. This tool changes only that setting, by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, and leaves the content of the page alone. Text stays sharp and selectable, links and form fields keep working, and the file size stays almost the same.

    Pages that were already rotated are turned further from where they are now, so you can fix a mixed scan in two steps: first the pages that are sideways, then the ones that are upside down.

    Choose Only some pages and type the page numbers, separated by commas, with a dash for a range: 2, 4, 7-9. Download the result, add it again, and rotate the next group in the other direction if needed.

    To reorder or remove pages afterwards, use Split PDF and Merge PDF. If the file is too big to email, Compress PDF makes it smaller.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is my PDF uploaded?

    No. The PDF is opened and saved inside your browser, on your own device. That makes the tool safe for contracts, scans and other private documents.

    Can I rotate just one page?

    Yes. Choose Only some pages and type its number, for example 3. All other pages stay as they are.

    Does rotating reduce the quality?

    No. Only the page’s rotation setting changes. The text, images and drawings are copied exactly as they were.

    Which way does “90° clockwise” turn the page?

    To the right, like the hands of a clock: the left edge of the page moves to the top. Choose 90° counter-clockwise to turn it to the left, or 180° for an upside-down page.

    Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?

    Not directly. Remove the password first, for example by opening the PDF and printing it to a new PDF, then rotate that copy.
